This was made to satisfy a prompt involving five wealthy people in conflict: An heiress, a widow, a mother, a lottery winner, a self-made man, and a thief.
The wedding is set in 1954; the bride is an heiress is wearing her grandmother’s dress, marrying the lottery winner to bolster her family’s fortune. The lottery winner is somewhat disgusted but inattentive to his bride, who is comforted by her widowed aunt. Meanwhile, the bride’s mother swipes wine from the self-made man and his table mate.
